Who We Are

What’s up! Thanks for visiting our page. We’re a couple originally from the United States who moved to Mexico in 2018 to be near the beach. Having previously lived in Costa Rica, we’ve seen quite a bit of surf in the area. Originally from California and New York, we’ve travelled quite a bit of Latin America in search of waves.

When we’re not working or surfing, we spend time with our two boys and dog and cat, paddleboarding (or paddlesurfing), rock climbing, and obsessively checking surf forecasts. Our goal with this site is to utilize our experience with technology and living in Latin America to create a guide to the best surfing in the area.

About our quiver… We have a few different boards we take out depending on conditions. My Firewire Sweet Potato is one of my favorites, great for those mushy days during the summer. When the waves are ideal, I ride a 5’8” swallowtail board from a local shaper, Edgar Salgado. When the waves have some power but aren’t quite big enough for the Salgado, our boards from Tim Stamps are absolutely awesome. And finally, when it’s just a paddlesurf kinda day we go with the one and only Juicy Papaya, a Mexican company making awesome paddlesurfs, shortboards, fishes, and more.
