Surf Season in Playa Venao
Playa Venao is one of the rare spots on this entire website that is actually best during dry season, or the winter. There are better southwest swells during this time, and you’ll get much longer rides. During the summer, consistency is much lower but you also might find significantly larger swells coming in. Morning is best due to the lighter wind and likelihood of wind being offshore.
Where to Surf in Playa Venao
The main beach in Playa Venao is really the best place to surf. It’s a huge mile long beach that’s perfect for beginners and intermediates. There are no rocks or reef below, making this an ideal wave to really push yourself and try new things with your surfing.
