Surf Season in Sipicate
Sipicate can definitely be surfed year-round, but the summer months in the rainy season will offer the biggest and cleanest swells. Especially for intermediate surfers, summer is the time to go. We recommend hitting it between June and September for the best barrelling waves. If you’re more of a beginner or not yet ready for the big hollow waves, spring or fall also work well. In winter, you’ll find more peaky waves along the beach, but plenty of whitewater if you’re just learning!
Where to Surf in Sipicate
The beach in Sipicate is long, and produces a ton of different waves with different peaks. You’ll find intermediates all over this beach. If you head to the front of the lagoon, you’ll get the more powerful and hollow waves. This is best reserved for confident intermediates or advanced surfers as the wave here can be quite forceful.
